Troup County School District

Hollis Hand Elementary School’s original building dates to the 1960’s with classroom wings added later in the 1980’s.  2WR+Partners was tasked with placing new classrooms and a new connecting corridor that would be respectful of the school's original design. The facility is located on a tight site with many challenges.  2WR worked as a partner with the school system and the construction manager to stay in budget and develop a phase plan to keep the school operational while construction activities were occurring. The new connecting corridor will be finished next month for the start of the school year and the classroom additions are expected to be ready in November.
