2WR Architects led the design of Adam’s South 1, a flexible and inviting retail center located in the bustling Columbus Park Crossing Development. Anchored by national favorites Panda Express and Chipotle, the center also includes several additional tenant spaces between the two anchors. As a result, the layout supports a mix of retail and dining options, making it ideal for diverse business needs. The project plays a key role in the development’s overall vibrancy, drawing consistent foot traffic and encouraging repeat visits from locals and tourists alike.

Customer-Focused Design
To make the building more inviting from the street, 2WR Architects used different roof heights and textured exterior finishes to add variety to the simple structure. Outdoor dining areas at each corner create welcoming spots for people to gather and enjoy a meal. These thoughtful design choices make the building more visually interesting and help each business stand out, while still feeling like part of a unified whole. Durable materials and well-placed lighting add to both the building’s look and long-term performance. Landscaping and clearly marked walkways make the area more comfortable and safer for pedestrians.
Smart, Flexible Layout
The layout of this retail center was carefully crafted to maximize tenant visibility and adaptability. Wide storefronts offer ample signage opportunities, which is especially helpful for branding and customer recognition. Additionally, wide walkways and shaded patio areas contribute to a comfortable, pedestrian-friendly environment. Access points from nearby roads and parking lots were optimized to ensure smooth traffic flow and convenience for both drivers and pedestrians. The modular layout also allows future customization, giving tenants room to evolve as their business needs grow.
