About 2WR Architects

Our Story 

2WR Architects began in 1965 as Wyatt Watson Cole Architects, Inc., in Montgomery, Alabama. In 2001, Sam Andras, Scott Allen, and Michael Starr expanded the firm’s presence by opening an office in Columbus, Georgia. A decade later, the Georgia and Alabama offices restructured, allowing 2WR to grow into a nationally recognized design practice. 

In 2021, 2WR became the architecture arm of UG Group, broadening our resources and reach. On September 1, 2025, 2WR of Georgia joined CM Capital Management, marking another exciting chapter in our evolution. 

Our return to the name 2WR Architects reflects our renewed focus on design excellence and our ongoing commitment to aligning our brand with our values and clients. 

Who We Are

With offices in Columbus, Georgia; Denver, Colorado; and Chicago, Illinois, 2WR Architects provides innovative, client-focused design services across the United States. 

Our projects range from $100,000 to $200 million, but our dedication to quality never changes. Regardless of size or scope, every client receives the same hands-on service, thoughtful design, and attention to detail that define our work. 

At 2WR, people are the heart and soul of our practice.  Our Georgia team includes senior architects, interior designers, construction administrators, junior designers, and a  construction administrator. We have a staff of twelve professionals who bring creativity, expertise, and collaboration to every project. Our team of talented designers in our Colorado office includes 5 design professionals. .
