Modernizing Roberts Library for Contemporary Learning

2WR Architects led the renovation of Roberts Library, a mid-century modern university library, to support contemporary studies and accommodate growing enrollment. Since higher education demands innovative learning environments, this multi-building project focused on enhancing functionality, fostering collaboration, and creating a dynamic academic hub.

Our team completely transformed the library by reorganizing collections, integrating high-tech study rooms, and designing open, flexible spaces. These upgrades encourage student engagement while also improving accessibility. Additionally, by incorporating modern amenities, the library has become a campus destination, significantly improving student retention and enriching daily campus life.

Thoughtful Design for a University Library

To ensure long-term usability, 2WR focused on several key improvements:
